SPECIAL PROGRAM AT HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF WOODSTOCK, NY IN OCTOBER 2020
The details about the special exhibit featuring suffrage activists Edna Kearns and Elisabeth Freeman at the Historical Society of Woodstock in the Hudson Valley will be announced here. The first program is scheduled for October 10, 2020 for a year-long party celebrating the centennial of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution.

OCTOBER 15, 2020 WEBINAR AT RENESAN
The program will be “Suffrage Wagons: The Winding Road to Voting Rights” on October 15, 2020 ($15). Presenter Marguerite Kearns is the granddaughter of Wilmer and Edna Kearns, women’s rights activists in New York City and on Long Island at the turn of the 20th century. You must register, starting in late August, with Renesan.org
Kearns was most well known for her “Spirit of 1776” suffrage campaign wagon that is now in the collection of the New York State Museum in Albany, NY. QUAKER BURIAL GROUND GRAVESTONE DEDICATION DURING OCTOBER 2020
October 1-31, 2020 online dedication ceremony for suffrage activist, Edna Buckman Kearns (1882-1934). Kearns, an early women’s rights activist in NYC and on Long Island, was buried with her parents at the Quaker Meeting House where they worshiped.
The October 2020 dedication ceremony for the gravestone installation will be online. During August the physical location will be will be prepared at the Quaker burial ground in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania.
