The “Women Win the Vote” Gazette issue published by the National Women’s History Alliance is only one indication of the shift in the attention of citizens and commentators.

This is another reason why is the go-to destination for writers, columnists, photographers, and all others involved in spreading the news about the avalanche of programs, special events, books, and other programs scheduled for 2020, the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution.

It’s not major news yet, but reports already show that more Americans are visiting historic sites and enough of them to reverse a downward trend. The statistics point in the direction of percentages up from 2012 to 2017. More people are interested in history and they show this direction with the increased visitation to historic sites. Reading books with a historic emphasis has also shown an upward climb.
