We’ve been waiting a long time for 2020. Now it’s here and a special event, not to miss, is the exhibit of the “Spirit of 1776” suffrage campaign wagon used by Edna Kearns and others on Long Island and in New York City during 1913. However, the New York State Museum is temporarily closed due to the pandemic. We’ll keep you updated!

Flying high to the New York State Museum to see “Spirit of 1776” Suffrage Wagon! on Vimeo.

This important symbol of the women’s rights movement in the United States has been exhibited by the NYS Museum in 2010, 2012, 2017-2018, and now 2020!

It is a “prime example” of a museum exhibition quality suffrage movement artifact that has been a popular item at the state museum. The wagon is one of the few museum artifacts in the United States that has its own web platform. It’s known as Suffrage Wagon News Channel, and it has been publishing since 2009.
